which means, there must be something intersting enough to prompt me to write-

just saw an accident right in front of the house. well, i didn't actually see it as it happens- just the aftermath, *right* after it happened. was watching seventh heaven rerun on ABC while tidying up my binder when suddenly there's a loud crash from outside the apartment. don't get me wrong, crash sounds are often heard around this neighboorhood, but that was my first time hearing something that loud. so i ran, straight to my bedroom window to see if something's happened. and something did happen.

classic scenario of car crashing with another car in the same lane. stupid car in front makes an unresponsible/unconsiderable u turn, car in the back is rolling fast from behind, so front car hit back car. i decipher this all from a dude (looks like the witness) in a brown shirt's account- with NO audio. kan gua liat dari jendela atas, mana kedengeran si, although jelas bnaget mobilnya berhubung pas depan jendela.

benernya hal pertama yang gua liat tuh, pas mobilnya pertama kali ketabrak, ada african american dude gitu ngedeketin hit-car (car that got hit) sambil ngecek cewe didalem yang nyetir (cuman 1 cewe). gua tadinya kira dia tuh yang nabrak, jadi sambil ngecek what the hell happened gitu. ternyata gua baru sadar dia tuh cuman bystander/onlooker doang yang lagi disamping jalan ama temen2nya hang out trus liat kejadian, cuman baek hati sendiri langsung lari nolongin. dia *sendirian* (temen2nya tetep di trotoar ngeliatin doang) ngedorongin car nya sampe ke shoulder of the road, at one point dia sampe frustrasi banget gitu teriak gara2 ga ada yang bantuin dia (including temen2nya)

ternyata setelah beberapa saat, gua baru sadar kalo ternyata yang ngehit itu salah satu temennya dia, karena dia abis ngedorong ke bahu jalan & ngecek on the girl dia langsung lari balik ke apt dan nyari temennya kali.

cewenya yang ketabrak sih looks fine2 ajah, except for some bleeding either nose/forehead (ga gitu jelas sih dari atas, tapi kayanya bleeding soalnya di lap lap pake tisu gitu)- untung gua ga liat darahnya kalo gak trauma kali.

one thing that i notice adalah, it took 10 minutes for first aid to come to the scene! padahal tuh cuman fire department cuman beda 1 blok doang!!!!! disini yang pertama kali ngerespon kalo ada accident adalah: SFFD (fire dept) bersama medicnya, baru polisi.
BUT it took them 10 FRIKKIN MINUTES TO GET THERE! i couldn't believe it! itu pun cuman 2 orang yang dateng-
it took the medic team anotehr 10 FRIKKIN MINUTES to get there. jadi total pertolongan response pertama adalah 20 menit!!! gila!!! itu kalo accidentnya bener2 parah, orangnya dah mati kali!
sumpah ini disturb gua banget! apalagi disini gitu loh! yang supposedly apa2 cepet- orang kita sebage driver ajah kalo ketemu fire truck/medic/ambulan disuruh berenti & minggir ditengah jalan/buka jalan RIGHT AWAY. dan ini tuh fire dept nya DIDEPAN BLOK, yang kaya cuman ga sampe semenit drive dah sampe.
THIS IS INSANE!
tapi untung cewenya ga kenapa2 sih, akhirnya medic dateng, ngecek2 (MASI BISA SAMBIL BECANDAAN), trus cewenya diangkut ke medic & jalan.
cowo yang baek hati nolongin itu pun tetep bantu2 ngambilin barang di mobil cewenya, bantu ngangkutin barangnya. aduh parah deh

malah yang witness (dude in a brown shirt) - kayanya sih jgua yang involved di accident karena sampe pada detik ini gua nulis (which is about an hour later), masih ada di depan sama temennya cowo yang nolong tadi (primary suspect- yang nabrak). mobilnya yang ketabrak pun masih belon di derek. LAMA KAN MOBIL DEREK DATENGNYA! btw mobil polisi arrived about 45 minutes after the accident.

dan sekarang brown shirt dude + cowo yang nabrak masih didepan filling in something for the report- ada ncek2 nosy yang ngeliatin terus dari tadi tanpa bantuin. well, gua juga dari tadi ngeliatin doang sih, tapi kan gua diatas, bukan dibawah.

debris from the crushed bumper are still spread there in the middle of the road. dari tadi gua pratiin mobil2 yang lewat tuh sampe nginjek2 nambah bikin debris lagi- SFFD nya lumayan bego ga nyapu dari pertama, at least dipinggirin kek! kalo ban mobil orang rusak gara2 ngelindes debrisnya gimana!

right now, an hour and 15 minutes later- mobil yang rusak masi didpean jendela (dibawah), blon diangkut, ncek2 nosy masih disana jgua sok ngeliat2 bemper mobilnya, the 2 suspects (brown shirt + cowo item primary suspects) masih filling in report, + another cop masih filling in reports jgua. dan gua dah cape ngeliat. sebodo mo kelanjutannya gimana deh

end words, phei fu abis sama si cowo item onlooker tadi yang ga ada apa2 rela bantuin sendirian. bener2 phei fu. itu yang menurut gua the real first aid response. STUPID SFFD+MEDIC+COPS! ga guna!

oh wait, another police car just pulled over- BUAT APA GITU LOH! kejadian dah lewat LAMA! bikin jalan tambah macet ajah, bawa mobil derek kek buruan! BAKKA! TA PEN TAN! si ncek2 nosy malah ngobrol sama 2 suspects, malah makin ngeliat2 bemper mobilnya sama si black dude, ampun kalo gua jadi black dude itu meskipun gua suspect gua bakal panas kali! orang dah bingung kejadian kaya gini malah ditanya2in sama si ncek2 kepo nosy.

ok dude in brown shirt is leaving, trying to tell the stupid police officers. (brati dia bukan suspect, just some witness filling in reports).
nah brati suspectnya = the black dude who's still there. hah ncek2 nosynya ikutan fill in reports, he may be a potential witness! pantesan kepo abis!
now the police officers are ngongko-ing. wait, there's another dude (white guy) coming over checking on the bumper. who's he? the black dude is getting in to the car & trying out the tires. EMANG BOLEH YA?!?!? bukannya destroying evidence??!?!? what the hell are they doing? oh. i think he's trying to move the car somewhere. ncek2 nosy is STILL NOSY. ah the car actually works. i just hope the dude didn't wreck the car much further. where is he taking the car? dah ga kliatan- dah lah. sekarang dibawah tinggal police officers, they're leaving i suppose, so NO mobil derek came. ncek2 nosy left. so did the cops. wrecked car gone too. all that's left are the debris in the road. STILL in the middle of the road *sweat drop*

the most amusing random thing happened to me today.

so. i was walking home from school earlier this afternoon, going through the same daily route, k train, sloat ave., and then along buckingham ave, winston dr. as i was walking along sloat, i saw this guy with some sort of pinata in his hand. well, i'm not actually sure that it was a pinata, i mean, it was purplish, paper-y, shaped somewhat like one of the characters in cartoon network- couldn't remember exactly which one- i think it was probably the purple dino/dragon in flinstones? ANYWAY. it's hard not to notice him really, because the pinata was pretty huge and you obviously don't see a lot of people walking around with those stuff around here. then he turned around the corner and i thought that was the end of it.

but as i reached buckingham ave, there he is again! still walkign a couple of feet in front of me with the big pinata. now here comes the thing. well, buckingham avenue is basically a bunch of stores & buildings- but there's also this army & marine corps stations. often times they would have some officer just hanging around right outside the station trying to get people to enlist, but apparently not today. back to the pinata guy, well, right at the moment he passes by the US Army Corps station, he frikkin flashes his middle finger at them! it was so frikkin hillarious i almost died trying my best not to laugh. i mean, it was a window-shopping kind of station- not like where you just have some door & store glass where you can some stuff- you can actually see straight inside where some officers are actually sitting on their desks. and the guy just nonchalantly passes by with the big pinata in his left hand while flashing F*YOU with his right in broad daylight! this other guy walking towards us even did a double take on the pinata guy- probably thought he was seeing things.

but man! all i can say is more power to the pinata dude deh. SF is surely full of random weird things you can encounter everyday. my guess is the dude was a gay democrat who hates bush and thus the military/army. he'd probably just seen michael moore's fahrenheit/911! haiyah. amusinggggggggggggggggg amusing.

bloody crowded, bloody people standing in line, bloody NOISY college boys, bloody it's 1.40 AM

rencana mo nonton jam 10 malem- pushed back til 10.30 because the ticket was sold out. tadinya ga mo beli online karena extra chargenya rada mahai, but bought it anyway lah. within the span of 5 minutes, tickets both in metreon & daly city for the latest showtimes were sold out- talk about premieres! good thing that i'm actually clever enough to get it anyway MWAHAHHAHAHAHA, padahal tadi tuh dah ngeri + desperate ga bakal dapet good seats. akhirnya we went there around 9. PAGI BANGET GA SI? 1 1/2 hrs before the movie actually starts, and they were already PEOPLE standing in line! padahal yang jam 9.30 & jam 10 punya jgua blon pada masuk!

akhirnya kita stood in line... waited... waited.. still waiting... and then had to move to an actual organized line.. stupid noisy group in front of us who don't fucking understand what personal space means.. still waiting... and akhirnya, 10.15 dikasi masuk.. RUN!!! RUN LIKE CRAZY!!! RUN!!!... dan berhasil merebut 2 tempat duduk yang lumayan di center & were actually pretty good seats.

yang paling kesel cuman having to sit in front of STUPID NOISY COLLEGE BOYS who acts like highschool kids and who think that they're very highly opinionated when they just don't fucking know what the heck they're talking about. HUH. so much for "claiming" to go to SFSU! belon pernah gua ketemu a bunch of boys yang lebih BAWEL dari mereka. ga tahan banget deh. dikit2 komen. dikit2 komen. PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO FOCUS ON THE MOVIE YOU DOOFUSES!!!! masa mary jane dikomenin what a bitch, trus pake berdebat catwoman isn't supposed to be black, trus pake komen it's not like in the comic books.. *gubrak*. i mean, it's OKAY gitu loh to have opinions on everyhting, i do too- but WILL YOU PLEASE HAVE THE DECENCY OF NOT SPEAKING YOUR MINDS OUT FUCKING LOUD WHEN PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO WATCH A MOVIE! *bikin bete*

anyways, the movie itself.. errr... errr... ga tau gimana kasi rating yang tepat deh. divided banget gua. that is, between the first half and second half of the movie. 1st half.. biasa abis. dalem arti ga beda banget dari yang #1- dalem arti juga, if you're a superhero geek like me, lu bakal beranggepan Spidey#1 KEREN BANGET in every sense despite the lack of plotlines & cheesy comic book scenes & cheesy dialogues & very annoying mary jane who knows nothing but screaming. buat gua, sekitar 1 jam 15 menitan (sekitar 1/2 pertama) movienya, kurang lebih sama banget kaya #1, belon lagi ditambah dialogue2 yang kadang2 bordering on BOSAN dan ga perlu banget. action & special efeknya though, STILL FUCKING ROCKS! ada juga sih beberapa scene2 lucu yang include how clumsy peter parker is- which is somewhat dear-ing to the audience imho, at least dearing enough to evoke awwwww's every frikkin time all throughout the movie!

and then sampailah kita pada 1/2 half of the movie. (i know this because i actually checked my watch the second i thought the movie reached its turning point). let me tell you, BERBALIK 180 DERAJAT. ASLI DEH! 1/2 half terakhir itu, buat gua, might finally make this movie qualifies as one of the most memorable comicbook/superhero sequels. there's SO MANY GREAT MOMENTS! not only funny, but also touching, heroic, EVERYTHING thrown into that last half of the movie deh. dimulai dari the exact moment spiderman nyelamatin orang2 di kereta yang ampir jatoh.

pokoke yang buat gua terharu tuh scene yang pas dia kaya di mosh-pit sama orang2 di keretanya.. like di support by them.. *SUCH* a GORGEOUS, deep, moment. kayanya ikut terharu ajah lu liat orang2 (at least orang2 di kereta) bisa liat spiderman sebenernya siapa (ada yang ngomong- he's just a kid, not older than my son), trus actually appreciates and stand behind him, supports him the very moment spidey needs the most. pas di mosh pit itu bener2 deh... AAAAAAAAAAAAA *menggila*. oh, perlu diingat though, that scrunching face tobey is not a pretty sight. UEK. even though he's SUPER hot in his torn spidey costume- SUPER SUPER *SUPER MEGA DUPER* HOT!!!!!!!!
and then that's not even all!
what makes the 2nd half of this movie so great is that FINALLY spiderman bisa kasi liat Harry & Mary Jane who he really is!!! which is peter parker!!!! (perlu diingat jgua, i kinda hate how peter always refers to mary jane as MJ. bikin ilfil ajah gara2 michael jackson)
and then juga musuhnya! si doc oct- actually an enemy yang punya hati baek. gila beda banget dari green goblin deh, which was annoying. rasanya lu ikut seneng ajah villainnya bisa sadar sendiri atas kesalahan dia (although it strays from the actual story in the comic book, which FUCKINGNOISYBOYS "kindly" point out)
there's like TOO MANY good scenes lah crammed into the last half of the movie, romantic scene with spider web where MJ & spidey senderan lah-- adooh!! PRETTY!!!!!!
trus segala spidey flying around special effects.. tetep KERENNN
tobey in torn spidey costume.. again, SUPER SUPER MEGA FRIKKIN HOT
and then of course, happy ending. lengkap juga sama story line yang more/less bakal jamin ada spidey 3.

so. critics review weren't wrong at all. (if you disregard the first half of the movie, that is). me myself, i'd probably give it a decent 4 (gabungan 3.5 first half & 4.5 second half)
definitely BETTER than the 1st one (although not that very much better like some people claim it to be), better just because of the actual substance of the movie lah.
and now it's blimey 2.17 AM.

fahrenheit 9/11 ? holy shit, batman!

as usual, my weekend movie fix includes an unquestionably controversial movie that opens this week- Michael Moore's Farenheit 9/11. as i've said before in my previous posts on Bowling for Columbine and Michael Moore- per se- i never really liked the guy that much, specially for taking advantage of award shows as big as the Oscars to state your political beliefs.

but do i think he's brilliant? hell yeah! am i the only one? hell no!

untuk mencegah sold out, kita tadi pesen tiket online, dan DAPET!!! pelemnya sendiri mulai jam 2, dan gua sengaja nonton di teater yang kecil, kalo di Metreon mah udah pasti ga dapet lah.. like.. DOH! anyway, beli tiket jam 1/2 1, dan masih dapet! lumayan kaget sih, which makes us automatically berpikiran ga bakal ngantri dong? wrong.
ANTRIANNYA buat seatsnya FUCKING PANJANG! dateng kesana padahal about half an hour sebelon pelemnya mule (well, biasa kalo untuk pelem2 yang gua yakin rame sih gua dateng 1 jam sebelonnya, tapi ini kan udah beli tiket online!). in fact, panjang orang ngantrinya itu like about... 10-15 stores up to where i stand, dan di blakang gua masih PUANJAAAAAAAANGGGGGG (anggep ajah 1/2 kalinya yang antrian depannya deh). i mean, anggep ajah 1 store front itu about 3-5 meters lah. 10 toko aja udah 30 meters dong! AT the LEAST! itu tuh baru antrian yang *DILUAR* bioskop. didalem gua yakin udah beruler2 lagi. mana teaternya cuman 1 lagi.. lomayan gede sih. baru kali ini gua ngantri segini panjang sejak yang dulu pas nonton ROTK (mati lampu). begitu dikasi masuk, langsung LARIIIIIi cari tempat duduk, dan sialnya dapet di 3 dari depan. adoh nonton sampe lehernya cram, dongak all the way. untung ajah bangkunya tuh yang kaya bisa recline/elastis gitu- jadi kaya 45 degree lah. parah sih tetep ajah.

eniwei, pelemnya sendiri. unquestionably, BIAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSS abis. in fact it's _SO_ damn bias you can't even see straight. sampe kasian gua sama Bushnya. tapi mo kasian jgua ga bisa sih, soalnya evidence2 yang di present di pelem ini sendiri bener2 relevan abis sih. emagn perlu diakuin, mungkin si michael moore sendiri manipulate to his own advantage, tapi dari info yang gua research2, sebagian besar claim/accusationsnya tuh ga salah. apalagi kalo yang include footage2 dari iraq, beda yah kalo lu nonton Saving Private Ryan ato Band of Brothers liat usus/kaki ilang dimana berceceran darah.. soalnya ini actual footage sih, and they're actual soldiers as well. you can't help but be moved deh. literally moved. gua sendiri ampir nangis (repeat- AMPIR nangis) pas yang ada emak2 lagi bacain letter dari anaknya yang mati di Iraq. sedih banget ampun2. tapi elemen lucunya jgua banyak sih, tentu sajah sarcastic lucu. pas abis, SERENTAK cheer ma tepok tangan sebioskop, which is JARANG. let me repeat, JARANG. ini sampe pada standing ovation segala. biasa kan kalo orang (like HP or ROTK) biarpun 2 2nya jgua ditepok tanganin dan cheeer, mereka kan mengandalkan cinematography yang bener2 bagus & story line yang bener2 efektif as an actual movie. kalo fahrenheit 911 kan documentary!! salut deh. biasa juga beberapa orang tepok duluan, baru diikutin yang laen2 tepok (like the case with HP). tapi yang ini, ga perlu di encourage deh.. let me tell you, SERENTAK tepok tangannya + cheer. LAMA lagi! masi mending kalo cuman sebentar, ini LAMAAAAAAaa- trus as expected, di luar bioskop jadi kaya sarang ngongko gitu (dikit banget sih teenagers, or well, people like myself)- banyakan semua orang2 yang kayanya educated & bule asli & peoople yang ngevote gitu yang punya strong political affiliations pada debat sini debat sana pokoke ngomongin tu felem ga abis2 deh. oh tapi perlu di notice juga, SF (dan CA) sendiri itu kan demokrat abis. jadi yah jelas ajah sih cheer orang2 pada gila banget.

kalo gua sendiri, sebagai well, orang yang relatively have nothing to do with US Presidential Election- wong jelas2 bukan citizen, have mixed feelings sih. tapi mostly salute on Michael Moore's work. but that's of course not to say that i don't have any interest on american politic/election. in fact, sejak gua ngambil kelas political science, interest gua multiply 10 times! and yang sampe sekarang gua pelajari sih, mostly betapa rumit & interesting american politics is, and segala manipulation, having power, keren abis- salah satu yang gua tangkep itu, jadi presiden amrik ga gampang. dan guru gua sendiri meskipun ga secara langsung praise ato diss president bush, ato state whether he's republican/democrat, dia akuin sih bush sampe sekarang have been doing a pretty good job in balancing both domestic/foreign matters (which is essential for a good president). nah.. sekarnag setelah di present dengan pelem ini.. *GUBRAK*. all i can say is i'm glad that i don't have to vote in November. HAUHUAHUAHAUHA pusinggggggggggggggggg.

in the end, i'd say that this movie is DEFINITELY worth watching. meskipun unquestionably bias and not for everybody, i admire michael moore's bravery in challenging the goverment in this movie. considering it as a documentary, cinematographically & plot-line-ly sih ga ada yang spesial sama sekali. yang paling appealing adalah topik yang dibahas, which is exactly: holy shit, batman!

They're playing The Others on TV, and i'm blocking it right now with my laptop writing this entry. Unfortunately, Nicole Kidman is shouting so loud that my attempt is apparently rendered futile. Whyyyy God, WHYYYY?!?!

That has nothing to do with my bad day, of course. So apparently, me and my driving instructor probably got frustrated with each other today. I know I don't drive well, but that's not because I don't know how to drive. As a matter of fact, I DO know how to drive, and I pretty much know how to follow rules. what i don't know is that there are like a BILLION rules in the 30 minute drive and you're only allowed to make 15 mistakes during the test. don't even try to get me started on the automatic fails. failure to look over shoulder while changing lanes apparently result in that. one- instead of three strikes- and you're out. just like that. 2 hours of waiting and $60 went down the drain. WELL FUCK THAT.

when making a left turn in a two way lane, check 3 things: incoming, pedestrians, and signal. when looking over your shoulder, do it quickly! don't brake when you're changing lanes. don't forget to LOOK OVER YOUR FUCKING SHOULDER when you're changing lanes. when making a right turn, do the same frikkin thing to avoid hitting a bicycle. (well duh?) always look far ahead, "the big picture"- yeah, right. don't drive too slow, but don't go over the upper limit as well, yadda yadda yadda. see? i do know the rules. easy to recall, not so easy when you have a frustrated instructor, sitting right next to you, "haiya2"-ing at even your smallest mistake all the frikkin way. NERVOUS TAU GA SI! after all, i've only driven like 5 frikkin hours here. give me a frikkin break, will you?

movie weekend reviews part 2

saw the Stepford Wives on Saturday, which was unexpedtedly, pretty good. didn't think it was gonna be that funny though- hell, i thought it was a horror movie at first from the trailer. Ah, tricky tricky trailer! one thing i can say for certain is that the movie is a chick flick. maybe not to the fullest extent of that term, but you can tell that it was definitely portrayed from a feminist view.

the story itself was acceptable, although at times emang ga masuk akal. but hey, what can you really expect from a semi-sci-fi movie eh? it WASn't supposed to make sense. you can sorta predict the plot line too- weird arcadian-like society, evil community leader, love conquers all, same old same old lah. i thought nicole kidman did a pretty good job on her american accent, like she always did. her acting was... lomayan lah. matthew broderick sendiri biasa ajah, nothing special. other co-stars juga.. yaahh.. b b sajah. cruela de ville is still being cruela de ville, christopher walken is as cold as he usually is, bette midler is somewhat average, and so is the dude who play the gay dude (he is SO gay LOL!). faith hill, on the other hand, was very very convincing playing a robot! didn't have that many lines, but her movements, dude, great acting.

and then, more rewinding still, i finally watched Matt Damon's Bourne ID. Since for some reason i find this to be somewhat similar to Ben Affleck's Paycheck, i thought i'll do a side by side comparison on both of them.
- hunky dude: Bourne- Damon*Yum* Check! Paycheck- jlo's ex... ya boleh lah, Check!
- bootiful dudette: Paycheck- Uma! imho, her mere presence is enough to evoke interest and awe, so UPGRADE! Bourne- some forgettable chick who speaks lousy english, DOWNGRADE!
- evil evil villain: Bourne has the marine dude from American Beauty- don't think he played a convincing villain, he's too nice. Paycheck's Aaron Eckhart, on the other hand, was a wee bit too evil (baca: maksa.) BAD BAAAADDD acting on both actors.
- story line: Paycheck... for me, rada errrr... weird, will explain more on separate part. Bourne, pertama2nya sih bagus, lama2 bosannnn... but considering there's a sequel coming up, whatever scantiness you might get from this one should be understood lah, maklum gitu loh.
- cool moves: Bourne wins! Jason Bourne is WAAAAAYYYY cooler than whoeverbenaffleckwas in utilizing his kungfu moves.

overall, i like Bourne ID better! MYAAHAHHAHA, although it was sorta a close race.

i did a longer review on Paycheck, actually. again, shoot me lah for being such a movie nerd. it was a sorta comparison/reasoning on why paycheck bukan mission impossible or bond movies, or minority report, etc2 yang succesful. first, despite VERY cool gadgets and how each of them fits together, and somewhat interesting story line to include einstein's time travel theory stuff, i was still able to find some flaws. Bedanya Paycheck dari blockbuster2 itu, as stated earlier, cool gadgets - CHECK! hunky guy - CHECK! pretty girl - CHECK! time-travel-future-seeing-science stuff (interesting storyline)- CHECK! really enjoyed the first half of the movie, *until* waktu dia mulai ketemu lagi sama cewenya = udah mulai LAME. what would've made this at MI/Bond/minority report level: a more developed/thoughtful story line. kurang shock element. such as: gimana kalo cewenya ternyata dibuat jadi jahat, cewenya yang nembak (a la mission = impossible), ato cewenya ternyata udah liat futurenya dan dia in some way ternyata kerja sama sama si aaron eckhart, trus ternyata yang dokter gila itu yang baek. Despite what i've said earlier on Uma, she was somewhat underutilized lah di pelem ini. kalo any other actress sih mending, tapi untuk aktris sekaliber dia.. cuman gini doang.. not enough scenes, DOH! what makes mission impossible so great jgua karena interaksi tom cruise sama si cewenya itu- bikin KEREN abis, in other words, NO chemistry whatsoever between ben & uma. it would've been more interesting (though sad) kalo si uma thurman dibuat mati, karena dia foresee future (a la minority report). and then pas si ben pertama kali maen2in mesin- adoh minority report bnaget (a la tom cruise). but why this is not minority report- karena kurang shock effect/element nya ato yang bisa buat "WOW!!!" banget, soalnya kayanya everything's too predictable. (kaya dibuat2 mo buat "WOW", tapi malah it's too easy). trus LAME *LAAAAAMMEEEEEEEEE* way of putting the 20 items into a question mark, like.. WHAT?! kenapa ga di tebar aja sih biasa ajah gitu, kenapa mesti dibuat bentuk tanda tanya segala.. NORAK!)

finally, last review for the day is Gothika. didn't exactly see it on the weekends, but close enough lah (thursday night). gua cuman bisa bilang, TAEEE KAMBINGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!! kentut lah kentut!!!! terkutuk semua yang bilang gothika bagus! SEREM KAYA TAEEEEEEEEEEEEEee kapok gua kapok nonton pelem ginian lagi. ga kuat jantung mina liat setan2 a la the Ring/ the EYE/ Ju On or whatever the fuck lah. gua tuh mending banget nonton pelem kaya Butterfly Effect, ato Texas Chainsaw (blon nonton seh), at least yang villainnya tuh real. bukan setan/hantu/FUCKTARD!!!!!!! halle berry sih keren. robert downey: asesoris. satu hal yang bothers me itu kenapa setannya mesti rela/ga rela bantuin gitu sih! sebentar2 bantuin, sebentar2 mo bunuh! like.. MAKE UP YOUR MIND YOU DOODLE! *SPOILER ALERT* trus masa ternyata yang bunuh suaminya itu tetep halle berry gara2 kerasukan... like.. i know he's a fucking prick/asshole or whatever, tapi kan tetep ajah SEDI banget ga si yang chop him into pieces itu halle berry yang kerasukan setan.. like.. LAAAAAAMMEEEE!!!!

watched a whole bunch of movies this week, like, oh maybe 6 of them in 4 days. i know, i AM a movie geek, so kill me.

well, starting from the one i just finished watching, Welcome to Mooseport- simply the most BORING movie EVER in history. i don't even have anything to say on it. borrowed it just because my friend said it was hella funny, which of course, very VERY far from the truth. i mean, ray romano was HORRIBLE. he shoulda just stick with his sitcom. i never find everybody loves raymond to be as good as some people think, really. guess it just wasn't my thing. but seriously, this movie SUCKS big time. it wasn't even remotely entertaining. sure it has some ingredient of a comedy, but the whole thing was merely bad plot lines, bad punch lines, bad EVERYTHING thrown into almost two hours of torture. not only did i fight to keep my eyes open the whole time, but i didn't even bother to pause it when i took my poop break. eck.

earlier this evening, on the other hand, was a WHOLE different story. we originally wanted to watch Jackie Chan's Around the World in 80 days. but since it was sold out, we switched to The Terminal instead. Tom Hanks, Catherine Zeta J, Diego Luna & Steven Spielberg. quite a line up eh? damn right. Tom Hanks was as always, SUPERB! $6.50 very well spent. yah not very surprised lah since spielberg dude & tom hanks was on board. the whole movie was just amazing, really. great cast, great story line, great acting, great comedic scenes/performances, although it does have a slightly askewed ending (*spoiler alert*, he didn't end up with the girl *sob*) if he did, it would've been perfect. but really, what impressed most of the people, i think, wasn't so much on the romance. instead, it was the way steven spielberg & tom hanks work together in bringing the story to life. without them, i'm pretty sure some would've just see the story about a non-speaking foreign guy trapped inside an airport terminal doing his daily routine to get by as boring. no question on tom hanks' acting- EXCELLENT as always, i noticed he did put a couple of pounds for this role, i like him better when he's skinny. there was also occasional flashbacks of Cast Away in some scene of the movie, i dunno, it just seems oddly familiar.
comedy-wise, everybody in the goddamn theatre was unquestionably laughing their asses off. hell, i laughed mine off too! pretty much 3/4 of the movie was pure LMAO moments, mostly on how Victor (Hanks') has to figure out how to survive & get by in the terminal with the help of his friends & others who work in the airport. One of the funniest moments include Gupta, an Asian-Indian janitor whose mere presence was enough to evoke laughter from the audience. and then there's also diego luna- y tu mama tambien guy. he's okay i guess.
some memorable moments:

-pas lagi dinner si Tom Hanks ma CZJ, si gupta maen2 pake bola2 lah, gelang2 lah, piring2 lah, ampun2 deh kocaknya mo mati.

and thennn... pagi2 banget sebelon pegi we watched Bowling for Columbine. you know, crazy dude- Michael Moore's baby. it was pretty good actually. it was... enlightening. it offers you different point of views on many issues happening in the US of frikkin A right now, it sorta opened up my mind. what i like most about it is the fact that aside from being a documentary that attacks certain groups, michael Moore does it in a subtle way, you know, like firing off the right questions. man, he sure knows how to push people's buttons. sekarang gua jadi pengen banget nonton farenheit/911 deh. although i should add that despite that, gua masih ga setuju sama cara michael moore exploits the oscars/any other kind of entertainment awards to insult the president. that's almost like..defying the very way he's doing his documentary, which was to do it peacefully- not to insult some guy in front of national TV.

one hell of a sequel that is.

lucu mo mati, every second of it. part of the reason is probably the incorporation of SO MANY pop-culture references to real life, from the zorro cat, to hollywood, to sir justin timberlake, to evil fairy godmother, to prince charming, ampun ga abis2 deh.
yang gua inget includes:
1. mission impossible move, pas the gang of bigbadwolf + three little pigs + pinochio + etc2 mo nyelamatin si Shrek + donkey + puss- ampun2 kocaknya setenga mati.
2. the scene when they arrive at "Far Far Away Land" for the first time, mulai dari references to beverly hills, hollywood hill sign, FUNKYTOWN!!! (omg, the BEST use of song in the movie kali yah), starbucks *gubrak*
3. oh! and the preceding scene with the ride to FarFarAwayLand, donkey was CLASSIC!! "are we there yet?", "no!", "why not?", "because it's FAR FAAAARR AWAY" ROTFLMAO!!
4. trus pas ketemu prince charming, masyaolo kibaran rambutnya tuh persis banget kaya si denise richards pas di episode Friends yang "the one with Ross' & Monica's cousin"
5. sir justin (timberlake)! BUAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHHA
6. red carpet show complete sama joan riversnya *gubrak*
7. the scene with puss' supposed-goodbye/sacrificial: R.O.T.F.L.M.A.O!!!! najis bangettttttttttttttttt, kudos to antonio banderas deh- "this is my time to say goodbye", tau2nya instead of zorro-like fight korbanin diri, malah pake jurus -i'm a tiny poor kitty so please pity me- ato -puppydogeyes- or in this case -pleadingkittycateyes- o.mi.god. itu ketawa ga berenti sumpa deh. that was the BEST SCENE EVER! in the history of Shrek movies.
8. pas fairy godmother nyanyi "holding out for a hero", the whole shrek storming into the castle thing diiringin sama this song is like... SO fitting.
9. and last one is the one when donkey & puss' sings livin la vida loca

needless to say, the soundtrack is EXCELLENT. pulang langsung download semua lagunya, dan ga rugi, *not at all*.
yang bagus2 includes:
counting crows' accidentally in love, funkytown!, jennifer saunders (fairy god mother) holding out for a hero, antonio banderas & eddie murphy's livin la vida loca, eels' i need some sleep, nick cave's people ain't no good, butterfly f/ david bowie's changes, adoh.... that's about EVERYTHING lah.

i can so hear it coming... SEQUEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

oh, as a side note, i passed by San Francisco's Mayor Gavin Newsom on the corner of Market Street that day. really, we were like... three feets apart! and oh yes, i could definitely say that the dude was pretty goodlooking, but not as tall as i thought he would be. it happened so fast and i had already walked into SF Shopping Center before i realised who i just passed. it was like, "huh? kayanya perna liat, siapa ya?". pas udah masuk SF shop center baru kepikiran "holy shit! that was mayor newsom!!!" adoh. if only gua nyadar pas lewat depan dia, udah minta poto2an kali or at least tanda tangan or at least salaman. *GEBLEK*. tapi emang denger2 recently dia lagi rajin keliling2 kota sih, ngunjungin sana sini, trus kemaren tu dianya di krubungin anak2 kecil. oh well, next time lah next time.

at IMAX METREON. shit the screen in that theatre is muthafuckin HUGE.

wasn't amazed by it as much as the first time, but with a screen THAT HUGE and EXCELLENT surround sound system, $15.50 is DEFINITELY worth it. GORGEOUS screen shots of almost EVERYTHING.

didn't sleep much last night, damn you pottah!

went to school without having any breakfast = mistake #1
got there safe and sound, but made double roundtrips to the admin office for my usual stupidity of forgetting to grab an add form (very exhausting walk, i tell ya)
tried to add a class at 9.30, slim chances seemingly, but great teacher. course syllabus looks very enticing: no termpapers, 40% midterm, 50% final and 10% attendance? not bad? not bad. the wait-list however, was OVERFLOWING. anjir. i think i was in the first 10 out of like.. 20-30 people wanting to add, but still very slim chances of getting a seat. that explains why the teacher is so popular then.

went straight to my actual registered polsci with no breaks = mistake #2, stomach is starting to grumble (somewhat loudly, i might add- *so* embarassing). instructor is AWFUL. tough, incomprehensible accent, and scary *scary* syllabus with lotsa readings. but since the first class was so full, i think i'm stuck with this one. dammit. what a way to spend my first summer here.

after school, went to pick up my i20, and then to the bookstore to get my textbook. little did i know that i actually pre-ordered them online. oh, my, *god*. HOW MUCH MORE STUPID COULD I BE?! so now i have to go back to school and try to get a full refund on the 2nd book. ICK. i can so hear it coming: "STOOOOOOOOOPPPIIIIIIIDDDDDDD". laugh aw, laugh.

waited 1 fucking hour for the 29, only to find out that the bus is too full. waited another 15 fucking minutes for the K, still too full, but got on anyway.

when i *finally* got home, the tummy is grumbling way out of control. opened the fridge, took out the corned beef container, only to find out that there's already green/white-hairy-ish stuff lurking in it. HOLYMOTHERGOD. kayanya petualangan gua with encountering jamur/lumut/or whatever the fuck that is on my food ga bakal abis2 deh. akhirnya terpaksa makan roti goreng telor (well, enak juga sih)

with perut full, made an appointment with winny's driving instructor. ternyata langsung test drive hari ini jgua at 3.30.
as expected, he's a 1st generation chinese immigrant with AWFUL accent. but not bad lah. the driving lesson experience itself is muthafucking horrifying. i seriously felt like driving for the very first time- flash back ke pas ngeles di hanulia with the instructor galak yang keep yelling at me for stepping on the break with the wrong foot. tapi yang ini lebih baek lah, although he kept telling me that i'm driving WAY to the right. padahal gua biasa ajah loh. he said that here, people drive on the left side, so stick to the left. probably what he meant was to keep your car DANGEROUSLY close to your left lane. ga ngerti deh. and then there's TOO MANY CONFUSING rules at once. you have to look at your mirrors like.. a thousand times in a frikkin minute while you still have to keep looking ahead or to the left, or to the right, or to watch out for pedestrians since they're the king, or whatever. pokoke MEMUSINGKAN. too many information to digest all at once. i seriously think i'm GOING to fail my first driving test. mana $26/hour lagi. made another appointment for thursday at 2.30. i am so dead.

random stuff he told me that i remembered:
-never drive too fast or too slow, 5 miles over the limit and they mark your points off, 10 miles over the limit and you're automatically failed.
-when reaching a stop sign, keep your car between the S and the P letters, cover the line, STOP all the way, look middle, left, right, and then go.
-when changing lanes, DO NOT HIT THE BRAKE, keep going but check middle, left, right mirrors and then blind spot over the shoulder: pusing ga si.
-ALWAYS *ALWAYS* watch out for pedestrians: this is actually easy, but it's really REALLY hard to concentrate when someone's hand is ALSO holding the steer wheel together with you.
-saking banyaknya i can't even remember what he else he told me. see, this is precisely what would happen if tons of information are thrown into your lap all at once.

well, itu pertama2nya banget sih, sekitar semenit dua menit selese felem.
tapi tetep ajah, those yang sering nonton bareng gua pasti tau gua critical/analytical banget kalo soal pelem, sebagus apa pun biasa gua pasti langsung ketemu things that imho could've been made differently ato gimana gitu.

tapi Prisoner of Azkaban.. terdiam dengan VERY BIG GRIN on my face sepanjang perjalanan pulang dari theatre sampe rumah (which diselingi dengan quick visit of restroom + dinner + shopping- so it was not a short trip, gua senyum sampe pegel sendiri pipi & rahangnya).

okeh. now, spoilery review.
seperti biasa, banyak sih bagian yang diomit dari buku, gua sampe surprised pelemnya cuman 2 jam lebih compared to the first two yang mendekati 3. tapi despite that, the whole thing meskipun kerasa a bit rushed tetep SOLID abis sepanjang pelem. dengan kata laen, meskipun banyak di omit, tetep yang penting2 works out perfectly. alfonso cuaron, you seriously rock dude.

HARRY/HERMIONE. GUH!. DUDE. OMG. DUDE!. like always, gua emang biasanya get hyped about something sebelon nonton pelem tertentu. the difference is, kalo biasanya gua overly hyped trus malah kecewa setelah nonton pelemnya, kali ini gua tetep overly hyped with harry/hermione tapi ga kecewa sama sekali. NOT ONE BIT. banyak banget scenes2 yang buat gua bisa shrieks/kegirangan sendiri dalem bioskop. if only bioskopnya gak packed with people & children EVERYWHERE, gua mungkin bisa teriak2/tepok tangan/kegirangan/lompat2/salting sendiri kali sepanjang harry/hermione scenes. see, it's very different kalo lu baca di-buku, gua ga gila gitu about harry/hermione UST, tapi begitu liat sendiri di pelem.. OMG......... UNRESOLVED SEXUAL TENSION ABOUNDS.. AT ALL TIMES. dari awal2 pelem, the glances, the looks, trus makin lama makin *BIKIN GREGETAN ABIS*:
mulai dari pas di hogsmeade, the delicate-GORGEOUS-sad-wonderful moment when she took the invisibility cloak off of him. GAH. i was like, KISS/HUG HIM ALREADY!
trus berlanjut ke falling on each other beneath the whomping willow (R-rated alert! MWAHAHAHAHHA- i am such a pervert), and then Hermione standing between Sirius and Harry, oh *THE LOVE*, when Harry took the wand out of her pocket pas di Shrieking Shack- HOT HOT HOT! smooth banget si Harry, anjir! and then pas mo turn back time, hand slap over time turner LUCUUU!!! & romantic of course MWAHAHAH *SO* like an old married couple *sigh*, trus the simple fact that she is alone with Harry (bye Ron!) the whole time-turn-adventure-thingy, running around together throughout it all, HANDHOLDING!!!!!!! *ASDFGHJK!!!* dialogues! "nice punch" or something like that- AWESOME! and then the best... protective hug when buckbeak fends off werewolf-lupin = *i can die happy now*

hermione/ron ok jgua lah, tapi harry/hermione/ron is MUCH better- THREEEEESOOMMEEE!!!! pas adegan Buckbeak di sorta "bunuh", share comforting hug betiga... omigod. it literally SCREAMED threesome.

ron was ABSOLUTELY funny. salut ke rupert grint deh. SALUT. tiap kali scenes kalo si ron takut, sama spider lah, ato pas dia terbata2, ato pas suaranya meninggi, KOCAK ABES. pas kakinya luka, "they're probably gonna have to cut it off"- LMAO!!!! pas tiap kali dia kaget/bingung hermione popped-out out of nowhere in class "when did she get here? did you see her get here?", HILLARIOUS. ROTFLMAO abis abisan deh.

draco, is HOT, meski kadang2 nyebelin.

lupin... jaoh banget dari bayangan gua. kalo di buku kan ilustrasinya kake2 kecil pendek, disini beda abisss. tapi pas yang di train pas dementor dateng pertama kali trus dia fend off pake expecto patronum- MAMPUS KEREN!
snape tetep keren! have i told you that i love snape? SNAPE IS FRIKKIN COOL! dia tuh model2 yang "seem to be evil" tapi sebenernya underneath all that dia tetep hebat/keren/baek. that scene when dia gantiin si lupin ngajar, pas pertama kali stormed into lupin's classroom slamming all the window shutters with his wand- KICKS.SOMESERIOUS.ASS. trus pas dia pake baju neville's grandma's- LMAO!
sirius.. ya jelas beda banget la ya? i noticed dia KURUS abis. tulang rusuknya pada keliatan gitu, hih. tapi tetep in character with the book sih, the way he interacted with harry, all the godfather emotional stuff *hiks*
animagus stuff serem juga.
tikus (wormtail?) jelek.

MAP!!! map-nya lumayan keren! a couple of things on the map:
-fred and george tetep lucu abis, sayang kurang banyak adegan mereka, trus again, banyak yang dipotong dari buku- ah sebel.
-"i solemnly swear i am up to no good"- R.O.T.F.L.M.A.O.
-salah satu hal yang sayang banget dilewatin itu the whole story on moony, padfoot, wormtail & prongs. SAYANG BANGET, kayanya that's the ONLY thing i would *really* love to be included in the movie. the way everything unfolds, relationship, betrayal, oh! and no shots nonewhatsoever on james&lily - too bad.

special effect is pretty awesome. specially on buckbeak, sama the whole quidditch thingy- pas ujan2, GORGEOUS SCREENSHOTS!!! I WANNA I WANNA I WANNAAAA!!! GIMME GIMME GIMMEEEE! tapi emang i gotta admit, pas yang di whompingwillow ato sekitar situ scenes, "agak" fake buat gua- hm, just me probably lah. oh! trus dementors pas pertama2, pas semua tiba2 froze di train, dude, SO COOL.

oh. a bit about the theatre tadi, PENUH (as we had expected), tapi ga ada line anehnya (ato linenya blon mulai malah since me and my friend got there like.. an hour before the movie starts MWAHAHHAHAHAHA) tapi pas masuk ke dalem teaternya, dah ada anak2 kecil! BANYAK BENER! dan tambah lama tambah banyak. kaya segrup2 baseball club gitu. we managed to get the good center seats. tapi sialnya di blakang 1 row penuh + di depan 2 row penuh + disamping kanan + kiri and basically EVERYWHERE is little children under 10. MY GOD. BERISIKNYA BUKAN MAEN DIBLAKANG GUA *those little devils*
tapi anak kecil yang duduk pas disebela gua lucu abis sih, maybe about 7/8 pas nonton gitu dieeeemmmmmm banget, almost like ketakutan HAUHAUHUAHUAHAUHA emang sih PoA lebih serem dibanding 2 yang pertama, tapi pokoke cute abis tuh anak.
and pas terakhir2, since gua nahan kencing dari THE VERY FIRST TIME we got there.. selese pelem, liat dikit credits (CREDITSNYA AJAH COOL ABIS *MATI DEH*), trus langsung lari as fast as possible ke wc. legha....

so yeah. this'll probably be my longest post for a while. GILA.

that on wednesday i walked 8 miles from my house to Ghirardelli's Square on Fisherman's Wharf just to get ice cream.
oh yes we did.
let me tell you that it was quite an accomplishment. that was straight up 3 1/2 hours of walking, stopped only once at Van Ness' McD because my friend had to pee. you should know though that i almost gave up halfway through at around Castro/Church because my leg was starting to burn, but i didn't. YAY ME!
once we got there, we went straight in line for the ice cream, ordered, found a seat, and WOLVED the thing down in 15 minutes. oh boy you should've seen us inhale it.
oh, and we didn't walk back home. what are we, nuts?! took the 30th & M-car home.

really awesome actually, freaky friday bener BENER lucu.
i take my judgement back on lindsay lohan, she's okay. but still she's not duff.
can't say i like her, tapi ok lah, ga separah yang she actually looks.

so okay,
1. pelemnya lucu abis
2. lagu2nya bagussss.
3. scenes2 yang left impressions:
- paling pertama2nya banget, pas si jlc bangunin si lohan, cara scene2nya itu kaya di fastforward/dicepetin, yoga bentar, ngutekin, yoga lagi, trus segala hp/palmtop- classic!
- trus pas pintunya si anna dicopotin-lucuuuu, background musicnya KEREEENN!!! gua demen banget
- sama setiap kali ada si mama/earthquake/fortune cookie combo - ROTFLMAO!

despite all that, rating gua cuman 3.5-4 doang. sebenernya ide ceritanya bagus/brilliant, tapi pas story linenya di develop, i found it a little bit hard and confusing buat ngikutin jamie lee curtis = lindsay lohan and vice versa. mungkin akan lebih masuk akal/ gampang diikutin seandainya freaky friday ngikutin cara pelem2 laen yang model2 switch bodies gini, as in, harusnya lindsay lohan tetep maen sebagai anna (tapi orang laen liat dia sebage maminya ato kalo dia liat di mirror she's her mom), the same goes for jamie lee curtis. so yeah, that's what i think.

hm, trus, i don't like si jake disini- huek. ga tau kenapa.. ilfil aja setiap ngeliat dia. di one tree hill jgua gua ga demen. i don't even remember his real name *HAH*. i like the little brother though, and the gramps *EARTHQUAKE!! EARTHQUAKE!!!* MWAHHAHHAHAAHHAHAA.

i fucking passed.

well, at least the written test.

the day didn't actually start off that well, really.
i had to help a friend move to her new place yesterday
so i did.
but being the fool i am, i didn't know the work was going to be THAT hard.
anjeer deh.
went to her place @ 9 am, her bro's still sound asleep, so we waited. til 10.
started the actual work @ 10. at first it was just pack here pack there
little did i know that there were just gonna be the three of us moving all those HUGE-sonafabitch-boxes. i swear that thing weighs like, A TON. EACH. not to mention suitcases, furnitures!!!
come 12 pm and my arms were starting to kill me.
not done yet, FAAARRRRRR from it.
reinforcement came @1. and it really was just _one_ person. thank god it's a dude, which means i got to switch to lighter duties(baca: unpacking). I STILL HATE UNPACKING. ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHH
i planned to escape @3 but didn't get to do that til it was 4 (being a good friend i am- MWAHAHAHHAHAHA)
and ooh! i even got a scratch on my finger as a souvenir. how nice of them.

and so i went home with my *very* tired and abused body, finished the X DVDs (subaru died? SUCKS!), studied for my DMV test today, and finally, *FINALLY* went to bed @midnight.

got up at 6 this morning (early bird huh?) because i had to be at the bus stop by 7. met up with a friend and went on a long looonggg ride to the DMV. once we get there, turns out my friend forgot to bring her I20. *DOPE!!*. which means we had to go ALL the way back home, and go back *AGAIN* to the DMV. it was raining. and my muscles hurt EVERYWHERE. couldn't even stretch my arms, my shoulders, or my back. tell me that didn't suck.

arrived, got in line, filled the forms, took a picture, stood in line, took the test, and PASSED!!!! HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA. boy am i proud with myself. MWAHAHAHHAHAHA (narcist mode on) we were actually given 3 chances to pass the test, and i did the first time! YAY ME! MWAHA MWAHA MWAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

all in all, it was worth it.
so now i'm passing out.

combined with my general HATRED of my life this fucking moment.

i don't just dislike my life, i seriously HATE it.

apparently, this place's not even mine anymore. GO FIGURE! nice dinner, some anime, a little chit chat and next thing you know when you woke up in the middle of the night there's him again outside _nesting_. asshole.

no asking, no referencing, not EVEN A HINT. some would be nice, you know. oh what am i talking about, THIS IS MY APARTMENT TOO!
